UNDP in India is implementing a women’s empowerment programme across
four states: Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Rajasthan. The
programme applies an integrated approach to women’s empowerment
combining social, economic, political, legal and environmental
dimensions. The objective of the programme is to increase capacities of
women for secure and enhanced income and greater participation, voice
and decision making in local development.
